演講摘要： 

A new wave of artificial intelligence has emerged in the fields of business, technology, and science, since the stunning success of Alpha Go, beating (4-1) the Korean former world champion of Go. With no doubt, the neural network models are the main character in this new wave. Among them, the convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are quite mature and very suitable to be as an example for introducing deep learning. Therefore, the purpose of this talk is to introduce CNNs and the application with them in psychology. This talk is organized in three parts. First, I will briefly review the developing history of neural network models specifically in respect of the obstacles and solutions that scientists had. Second, I will introduce the structure and the relevant computing algorithms in CNNs. Third, I will introduce two cases about how CNNs can learn to classify the natural images and how to combine the CNN-derived representation with a formal psychological model to predict human categorization behavior on a completely new set of rocks.
