Department Announcement: For prospective master's graduates, please upload your electronic master's thesis to the ETDS NCKU thesis system as soon as possible before August 30, 2024 (Friday).

Reminder:
Prospective master's graduates should upload their electronic master's thesis to the ETDS NCKU thesis system as soon as possible before August 30, 2024 (Friday). (Reminder from the NCKU Library on August 12, 2024)

ETDS (Electronic Thesis and Dissertation System) upload to the library system. Please ensure completion by August 30 (Friday). This is a reminder for master's and doctoral students graduating in the 112-2 semester.

Important Dates:

  1. Graduation Procedures Deadline for 112-2 Semester Master's Students: September 6, 2024 (Friday).
    • Upload to the ETDS system before August 30 (Friday) to align with the academic affairs office's announcement, allowing completion of graduation procedures before September 6 (Friday) to receive your degree certificate.
    • Uploading to the ETDS system after August 31 (Saturday) may affect your ability to complete graduation procedures by September 6 (Friday), leading to registration fee issues for the 113-1 semester (for details, please contact the academic affairs office).

Additional Notes:

  1. Allocate Time for Processing: Please set aside at least one week to handle the electronic thesis upload to the ETDS system and related matters. It is advisable to upload before mid-August to avoid the peak period (August 19-30) just before the deadline.

    • Statistics show that each submission typically experiences at least 3 review rejections, with some going as high as 7-8 times. During peak submission times, the number of waiting reviews is significant, and each submission must queue for review, which may take about 3 working days. Please be patient during this period.
  2. Personal Information Protection: Authors of master's and doctoral theses should remove personal information such as ID numbers, phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses from their thesis and appendices to protect privacy and security.

  3. Encouragement of Thesis Publication: To enhance the academic influence and international visibility of students and the university, immediate publication of the thesis is encouraged.

  4. Patent Application Considerations: If using the thesis as a citation document for a patent application, please discuss with your advisor and properly set the authorization items and publication date before uploading the electronic thesis and filling in related information. Consult your department about any issues regarding delaying the physical thesis submission to the National Library.
