[Department Notice] Graduate students who enrolled in the academic year 111 and onwards are required to complete the Graduate General Education courses.
According to the first meeting of the Curriculum Committee in the 110th academic year, starting from the 111th academic year, doctoral and master’s students must complete the Graduate General Education courses before graduation. Among these, at least 6 hours must be dedicated to Academic Ethics, and at least 1 hour each for Chinese and English writing skills and communication skills.
Please note the following for students enrolled from the 111th academic year:
1. Academic Ethics - At least 6 hours:
- Participation and Certification: The Office for the Promotion of Academic Integrity at our university offers free access to online courses on academic ethics for all faculty, staff, and students. You can also apply to have the hours counted towards the Ministry of Science and Technology's requirements for academic ethics education.
- After completing the course and obtaining the certificate, please register the certificate on the university’s "Academic Ethics Education Hours Registration Platform" for record-keeping.
- For any issues regarding hour certification, please contact the Office for the Promotion of Academic Integrity (ext. 50450 / 50452).
2. Chinese and English Writing Skills - At least 1 hour:
- This is included within the course on [Psychological Science Topics]. No additional coursework is required. Participation in English presentations and submission of English reflections during the course period are required.
3. Communication Skills - At least 1 hour:
- This is included within the courses [Teaching Practicum (1) and (2)].
During the graduation review, please provide documentation of at least 6 hours of academic ethics education to the department for verification.
