Our university’s MRI Center and the Department of Psychology are honored to invite Prof. Niall Duncan from Taipei Medical University, together with his collaborators Prof. Nils Muhlert from the Division of Psychology, Communication and Human Neuroscience, University of Manchester, UK (https://research.manchester.ac.uk/en/persons/nils.muhlert/publications/), and his PhD student Megan Sheppard (https://research.manchester.ac.uk/en/persons/meg-sheppard), to visit our department and the MRI Center next Monday (10/27). They will give two talks in the lecture hall from 14:00 to 17:00.

The talk titles are: “Amygdala burnout: Altered Grey Matter Trajectories associated with early life stress” (Megan) and “Stress, Behavior and the Brain” (Nils). The lab’s work is based on the UK Biobank, and they have published multiple papers (for example, on Multiple Sclerosis, MS). Their recent work focuses on the effects of early trauma and stress on the brain.

Prof. Niall Duncan will also chair the Q&A session after the talks. Faculty members and students are warmly welcome to attend.
