Guidelines for Mid-Semester Leave of Graduate Students
Students applying for a mid-semester leave from the university should note the following procedures:

Please refer to the NCKU Library regulations regarding thesis submission and graduation clearance.

For graduate students applying for graduation leave on or after October 1, 2022, the thesis system must include:

The full-text electronic thesis, and
-
The Originality (Similarity) Report.
Please refer to the Thesis System Guidelines for detailed instructions on uploading the originality report.

During the final examination period of the semester, students must complete the Graduation Clearance Procedures.
Please log in to the Graduation Clearance System to print the clearance form. -
If a student has not completed all required coursework by the end of the semester but has completed the thesis, they may apply for a mid-semester graduation leave.
The application process is as follows:-
Step 1:
Visit Registration Section → Application Forms, and download the
Application Form for Mid-Semester Graduation Leave (Graduate Students)
The application must be completed at least one week before the intended leaving date. -
Step 2:
After the Registration Section verifies that graduation requirements are met, students may proceed to the Graduation Clearance System to print the clearance form.

Two copies of the thesis must be submitted:

One copy to the Department, and
-
One copy to the Registration Section.
(For theses under an embargo/delayed public release, please follow Step 4 of the departmental leaving procedures.)

When completing the leaving procedures, one additional copy of the thesis must be submitted to the University Library.
