Academic Regulations for NCKU International PhD Program in Mind Sciences

Credit requirements for graduation: Students shall complete a minimum of 20 credits for graduation from the Program within the designated duration of academic studies. The curriculum-credit requirements are prescribed as follows:

Required core courses with 11 credits
(1) Introduction to Science in Mind ( 3 credits)
(2) Experimental Design ( 3 credits)
(3) Seminar in Special Topic ( 1 credit per semester, required for four semesters)
(4) Independent Seminar ( 0 credit)
(5) Dissertation Writing ( 1 credit)


A minimum of one course (3 credits) from the core curriculum designated for the affiliated research group.

A minimum of one course (3 credits) from the curriculum designated for the interdisciplinary research group.

Applications for credit waiver or transfer shall be administered according to the relevant NCKU regulations and shall be approved by the instructors involved or the Program convener.

Program students shall be required to enroll in Teaching Practicum I or II for at least two semesters before they submit their dissertation proposals for review.

Program students shall complete a dissertation for graduation. They shall be required to submit their dissertation proposals for review.
