Important Information:

1. This course is co-taught by Professors Hu Zhongfan, Zhou Lifang, Zheng Zhongping, Xu Xinping, Chen Junhong, Lin Yitong, and Yang Fu, with Professor Yang Fu as the primary instructor responsible for course-related matters. Students should consider their research topics for the semester and decide which professor’s lab they wish to join for their specialized research project.
2. IMPORTANT: Before the course briefing on February 19, students must contact the professor in their desired research field, discuss their topic, and confirm their placement in the professor’s lab for this semester’s project.
3. If students cannot confirm their research area and advisor by February 19, they must do so before the final add-drop deadline. Failure to secure a research advisor and topic will result in no project, meaning no grade (which equals a 0).
4. Strong Recommendation: Before reaching out to a professor, do your own research—read relevant materials, form your own ideas, and discuss them with the professor. When emailing a professor, do not simply write:
   "Professor, I am interested in your field. Please tell me about your research topics and requirements."
   Instead, come prepared with specific ideas and questions for discussion.
