摘要:
Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents (aged 3-18 years old) and their non-offending caregivers to overcome their trauma-related difficulties. The TF-CBT are components and phase-based treatment. It includes eight practice components summarized by the acronym PRACTICE. It is also structured in three phases: stabilization, trauma, processing, and integration/consolidation. Traumatized children are likely to develop trauma-related maladaptive cognitions and avoidant behavior to the traumatic situation(s) and reminders. The Trauma Narration and Processing phase of TF-CBT is utilized to address these symptoms. However, some therapists may resist entering this phase due to misconceptions about its potential for “re-traumatizing children” or avoiding hearing youth’s trauma narration. This presentation will first introduce the eight main practice components in the three phases and then describe what the research tells us about whether and for whom it is necessary to use Trauma Narration and Processing for successful treatment outcomes
